What’s in the bag: crushable travel bag
Packing for long weekends and week-long trips can be a pain. As we begin to mentally shop our closet, a series of questions come to mind. How many pairs of shoes do we allow ourselves to cram into our tiny carry-on suitcases? Do we need a jacket? How about that dress we bought but never returned and never wore? Is this weekend the time to shine? At the recent Labor Day Weekend (LDW), we test drove the Weekender bag to prove that it doesn’t disappoint. This travel season, we invite you to join us in the fight for no shoes or pointless jackets! Bring your closet! We’ll make it fit. Deborah Waterman Johns wore our classic Fleetwood BlackWeekender for a week=6> mode of travel in Europe because she always avoids checking luggage. The Weekender is so large that it squeezes into overhead bins, whereas trolley bags usually don’t (and make us sweat and bribe the flight attendants).
Our pro tip is to carry the Daytripper (the exact same bag as the Weekender, only smaller) to create the ultimate traveling duo. Use the Daytripper as your personal bag for everyday carry-on or packing items like extra airport shoes, toiletries, a makeup kit, or tech product tools. If you end up checking a bag, the Weekender or Daytripper is great for folding flat and storing inside. You can then use them during your trip or on the go and pack them with whatever treasures you bring home. Our Digital Marketing Manager, Emily Stevenson, loves to take her Weekender on weekend trips. She traveled to Charleston for LDW and needed something that could hold three to four outfits, and this bag was perfect. The bottom is wide so she can easily slip on her shoes and stack her clothes and toiletries on top. Like Deb, Emily wears a lot of black, so the David Checkham pattern was her first choice because she “loves how it goes with everything and feels timeless and elegant!”
You’ll never get bored with the look of this bag, with fun patterns to suit your personal preferences. There is also a really fun option to add letter combinations for the ultimate in personalization. The Weekender and Daytripper also make great gym bags or everyday carry-on bags for your “stuff”, which is perfect for those of us who pack all day long, like we’re moving to Prague for four months. This super lightweight and wipeable bag is designed for life’s chaotic moments and big adventures. Now, go pick out your favorite for fall!
