My personal style and fashion dos and don’ts
My fashion do’s and don’ts
Be sure to rely on those classics
Simple, elegant classics will never lead you astray – it’s that simple. When you consider the change of seasons (we’ll be using summer to fall for now), dressing can be tricky at times. In my mind, I have a few go-to outfits that pair well with many of my wardrobe staples: great jeans, a classic button-up shirt, a good cashmere sweater, and < /span>. When you’re panicking about getting dressed, remember this: keep it simple. ballet flats
Don’t just have good style to happen
Fashion has always been something that interests me. Of course, as I grew up, so did my taste in clothing and fashion. Having fun with fashion is a risk you have to take. When you say things like, “I could never do that,” it really limits yourself. Trying new things brings confidence, and at some point you have to have it. What’s the best thing about fashion? You can switch your personal style at any time.
Be sure to consider style and trends
Always, always, always come back to the things you love and who you are. There are a lot of trends that I love, but know that they ultimately don’t fit my personal style (remember those three words I shared earlier?). So while it’s fun to experiment with fashion, there are some things you just know you won’t like long-term. I like to keep tabs on what I really like through folders I save on Pinterest or Instagram. This shows me any subject I like in the fashion world without spending any money (yet). While it’s exciting to have new things in my closet, I’m really trying to cut back on that. Style becomes more interesting when you can find new ways to wear old clothes.
