Let’s dive in…
Stud Earrings
In the world of earrings, studs are usually the most delicate and smallest. If you’re like most people, simple studs are usually your go-to for everyday wear. But that doesn’t mean they need to be boring or lacking in style.
Studs as a Minimalist Accessory
Stud earrings are often very delicate, so you can wear them with simple casual outfits or more minimalist, elegant outfits. You can add a delicate necklace or some rings. Also consider matching your outfit or some other accessories to the color of the gemstone studs.
Our small opal & solid gold stud earrings are a great example of stud earrings that are perfect for everyday wear and won’t look boring. Small gemstone studs like these are perfect for adding a little color to an outfit without dominating the entire outfit.
Simple studs with statement jewelry
Wearing a pair of very simple studs can be paired perfectly with a bolder statement necklace, stacked bracelet, or a set of ring stacks without having to leave your ears completely untouched.
Wear the super simple Silver Ball Stud Earrings with our Coral Reef and Aquamarine Pendant Necklace, where the gemstones provide a beautiful link between the earrings and the necklace. Aquamarine stud earrings are a great example of how this effect can work, with the big, shiny necklace drawing attention to the earrings while the studs still give off some sparkle and shine. As an alternative, you can also wear matching
Stud earrings to guide your outfit
Dahlia Patterned Sterling Gold Stud Earrings
You can also use more intricate or ornate studs as a guide for the rest of your outfit. Let’s say you have a pair of beautiful flower shaped stud earrings, such as our gorgeous Dahlia Solid Gold Stud Earrings.
These types of earrings are very feminine, so they can be paired with an equally feminine outfit, perhaps in a floral pattern or floral-inspired color.
For example, imagine pairing these gold earrings with a long flowing summer dress. Don’t worry if dresses aren’t your thing, as there are plenty of other options, such as long, wide-legged pants or flowy blouses.
Alternatively, a well-tailored but feminine suit will go perfectly with the geometric design of these special earrings.
Dangling Earrings
The main feature of dangling earrings is that they are designed to sit slightly below the earlobe. They may or may not swing, depending on the design, unlike the always-swinging dangle earrings (see below). These earrings can be secured to your ears using posts, similar to studs, but they usually use hooks called “ear wires”.
These may be one of the more common types of earrings in your jewelry collection, while simple dangling earrings are often a good alternative to studs for everyday wear.
The design of dangling earrings can be simple and subtle, but they can also be bolder and more striking, although usually not as dramatic as their close cousins, the dangling earrings. Dangle earrings are so diverse and versatile that you can wear them dressy or casual. You just need to have a large enough jewelry collection to provide you with a wide variety of options.
