Did you know that people have been wearing earrings for thousands of years? During that time, a variety of different types of earrings have appeared, many of which are still worn today.

It can be difficult to choose when deciding which type of earring should go with which outfit. How do you know which type suits you or best suits your outfit? Should you choose stud or hoop earrings? In the world of earrings, studs are usually the most delicate and smallest. If you’re like most people, simple studs are usually your go-to for everyday wear. But that doesn’t mean they need to be boring or lacking in style.

Studs as a Minimalist Accessory
Stud earrings are often very delicate, so you can wear them with simple casual outfits or more minimalist, elegant outfits. You can add a delicate necklace or some rings. Also consider matching your outfit or some other accessories to the color of the gemstone studs.

These earrings can be secured to your ears using posts, similar to studs, but they usually use hooks called “ear wires”.

These may be one of the more common types of earrings in your jewelry collection, while simple dangling earrings are often a good alternative to studs for everyday wear.

The design of dangling earrings can be simple and subtle, but they can also be bolder and more striking, although usually not as dramatic as their close cousins, the dangling earrings. Dangle earrings are so diverse and versatile that you can wear them dressy or casual. You just need to have a large enough jewelry collection to provide you with a wide variety of options.
