Benefits of Designer Sneakers
Benefits of Designer Sneakers
Designer shoes have raised the status of men’s casual shoes and dispelled the misconception that sneakers must look fancy and fancy! Instead, quality sneakers started a trend of offering understated but stylish shoes. In my latest blog post, I explore the various benefits of designer sneakers.
As a fashion enthusiast, it’s no surprise that I own tons of different shoes, and my sneaker collection is no slouch (even though I’m not yet a sneakerhead!) . I own a range of athletic brands (Adidas, Nike, etc.) and some premium footwear for special occasions. Despite the high price tag of the runway brands, their pieces have an appeal that the high street can’t match, and this is true for their footwear as well.
Sleek shapes
Before designer brands started dipping their toes into the sneaker market, most sneakers were big, chunky beasts covered in brand logos and bold colors, but things got a lot more shoppable when there was an influx of sleek, understated designers (arguably, Common Projects led the way with this simple, classic style – check it out here). The shape works well with a wide range of looks; one of my favorites is the turned-up skinny jeans (showing the ankles) that convey a sleek silhouette (though wearing invisible socks is crucial to this outfit to keep the aesthetic appropriately minimalist).
High Quality.
The level of production of designer footwear is second to none, and once you’ve experienced quality sneakers, you’ll realize the difference between them and street sneakers is worlds apart. High-end footwear has no unsightly rubber or defects (unlike cheaper footwear). Packaging is also a big part of expensive shoes – sturdy, clean boxes with soft tissue paper to protect the contents and dust bags (usually two, one for each shoe) are included.
Timeless Designs
The simple construction that many designers use in their sneaker collections offers the added benefit that they will never go out of style and won’t fade. It’s been over five years since I purchased my Saint Laurent sneakers and I’m still wearing them; they’re still popular (the brand still sells a similar variant of the same model – check it out here) and I plan on wearing them for many years to come.
Easy to wear
Finally, designer sneakers are easy to wear because they can be paired with almost any outfit you want to wear – from the standard casual outfit of jeans and a t-shirt a> or a seasonal sweater with a full three-piece suit with a pair of understated white sneakers for an ultra-cool modern look! Whatever you choose to wear that day, your trusted pair of Italian sneakers will upgrade your style.
